Disadvantages: poor hardness, easy to scratch, and easy to be deformed by heat. Do not use it at high temperature. If the temperature exceeds 85 ℃, the acrylic lens will be partially damaged.
2、 Resin lens
Resin is a kind of plastic polymer compound that softens when exposed to heat. The resin lens is the lens formed by chemical synthesis of resin as raw material and processing and polishing. The resin lens has obvious advantages. The lens made of resin is light in weight and more comfortable to wear; The resin lens has strong impact resistance and is not fragile and safer; In addition, the resin lens has good light transmittance, which is easy to be reprocessed to meet special needs, and is cheap, so it has become the mainstream of lenses on the market.
Disadvantages of resin lens:
The surface abrasion resistance and chemical corrosion resistance of resin lens are worse than that of glass, the surface is easy to scratch, and the water absorption is greater than that of glass. These shortcomings can be improved by coating. The fatal disadvantages are high thermal expansion coefficient, poor thermal conductivity, low softening temperature and easy deformation, which affect the optical performance.
